Those two women at the end… crying because their daughter has a friend who is black… acting like being black makes you dirty…
I think I’m going to cry.
This literally made me nauseous.
This is the scariest thing in the whole world. This makes me so scared. It really shouldn’t. But my heart is just so troubled by this. I don’t want to live in a world where this kind of hatred still exists.
But Lord only knows, I have to.

I can’t even… fathom…
Goodness, this made me cry.
my life: in a nutshell
luckily the person I am with now has a family who accepts me.
but yo, how many times have I met a past boyfriend’s parents and after I leave they’re like “uh…better not get her knocked up.” or “don’t marry her, can’t have ugly black children” or “you didn’t tell me she was a black girl!!” or “you can do better than a black girl” and really, the bullshit list goes on.
a lot of people don’t think that this crap still happens, but it does. and I’m glad that this show brought this to light.
and really, it’s not only by white parents and white people who don’t like interracial couples (with one side being black) although it often is, it’s also with latino and asian parents too, and it sucks when I’ve dated them and have gone through this same situation. and even black parents have the same ideals with colorism (instead of racism) through saying my skin is to dark to marry and my hair is to nappy to date. ugh.
well, now you know. and it’s time to move forward into cleaner water people, and get rid of this craziness.

But its also sad. It breaks my heart. Because I see people from my past who were Christians and they loved God and now they are athiests. Its like..it makes me want to cry. It makes my heart hurt.
